Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Experienced US Coast Guard licensed Captain back home to Folly Beach from cruising Bahamas and gearing up for new season of 2 to 4 hour charter trips. This position if for local potential sailors only to run charters - Crew cannot overnight on boat.

About the boat, the plans, and current crew

usually cleancomfortablevery safeusually single handedshare experienceseek adventure

Read carefully.
I am Jerry, a 77 yo Southern easy-going guy, a Coast Guard licensed Captain and ASA certified sailing instructor operating a sailboat charter service in Folly Beach - a small town near Charleston SC. I have retuned from a cruise to Spanish Wells and other ports in The Bahamas and now preparing for another season of charters to replenish the cruising Kitty. Young potential sailor is sought to assist on charters and perhaps crew on subsequent Bahamas/Keys cruises.
The boat is a 2015 Catalina 355 a 35 ft sloop with refrigeration, 1 head and 2 cabins. On a cruise, crew will have private aft cabin with main salon and galley privileges.

What is expected of the crew

clean & tidyfit & healthyrespectfultrustworthytravel light (little luggage)politeLGBTIQA+ respectfulsense of humorenjoy cookingdon't mind cleaningcan follow orderswill not bring a friendwill not bring a pet

Most important qualities of crew are responsibility, reliability, and emotional maturity. No maritime experience necessary - I prefer crew young in spirit, looking for adventure, with a desire to learn about boats and sailing, can follow orders, cook and clean. Nonsmokers only. No US illegal drugs, perfume or cologne. Crew is expected to provide your own shore transportation and expenses, medications, and personal expenses including transportation. I will fund the operation of the boat including fuel, fees and food.
