Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Ahoy! My "regular" work-life is that I develop software and do the day job to make stuff like this possible! Without a doubt, I'm always thinking of my next adventure and love being outside doing whatever (cooking, hiking, sailing, building (usually fixing) stuff, ...). The dog in the pic is Danny (no, I'm never planning to bring him aboard!), and we're always on the move. In terms of sailing, I've had an Impulse 21 for a couple of years and done quite a lot of custom work on it (which includes plenty of fixes). So what? What about real-life boat ownership and maintenance? I sail, sure. But that's not it: stepped the mast, done it. Fixed thru-holes in fiberglass, done it. Climbed masts for skied halyards and rig fixing, done it. Dive to clean hull, done it. In spite of all that though, I'm here to learn and do way more than that!

Being here though, I'm looking to go beyond just small bay and coastal sailing and racing to really learn the challenges associated with oceanic sailing and doing so with an outstanding boat, crew, and skipper!

Work: Usually, I'm DIY kind of person. When it comes to finding and resolving problems, I see the system for what it can do rather than what it was designed to do. In the midst of this, I really enjoy diagnosing and treating problems with a Team.

My motivation and reasons to crew on a boat

Overall, I want to travel as well as tackle the challenges associated with passage sailing with other like-minded people. If that's possible, I believe everything else is attainable, and that's what really motivates me to pursue these opportunities!
