Hey, my name is Jonas. I’m 27 years old and from Germany! I’m currently on a nine-month trip (preferably) around the world and have been on the road for about three months now — until I stumbled upon this website. I've always wanted to learn how to sail and spend more time on the water, since I absolutely love ships of all kinds and the underwater world. I’m also a passionate scuba diver and would really enjoy some more exploring above and below the waves.
When I was younger, I started learning how to sail, but unfortunately never got around to get my license. Still, the fascination stuck with me. I might not bring a lot of sailing experience to the table (yet), but I’m eager to learn and not afraid to get my hands dirty. Whether it’s helping with repairs, doing a grocery run, assisting with cleaning, or even cooking a meal now and then — I’m happy to contribute in any way I can. I enjoy being part of a team and believe I can make up for my lack of experience with enthusiasm, reliability, and good vibes on board.
I’ve got a flight to New Zealand at the beginning of June and want to spend some time exploring the North Island. After or before that, I’d love to make it to at least one South Pacific island before heading to South America. But I have no solid plans as of right now. I also consider flying out to any of the islands and making a trip around the islands or a return journey towards new Zealand by boat. So if everything fits perfectly and I have a good connection to the boat and crew I'm also very open to staying longer on the water :) I’m looking for someone who’s open to sharing their boat, some knowledge, and a bit of adventure. And of course I am happy to chip in for expenses!
If you have any questions or think I could be a good fit for your crew, feel free to send me a message!
