Ahoy, dear sailors and sea-lovers! My name is Jenie (short from Evgeniya) and I've recently joined Find-a-crew because I'd really like to find an opportunity to participate in a sailing trip in 2025 ⛵️☀️🌈

Please note that my sailing experience is close to "zero" 🙈, however I have a "sport-ish" and adventurer's mindset, as I've been a devoted climber, hiker (and even - a caver), for a big portion of my life.. And not least - I have huge enthusiasm for experiencing life on many and new levels, and I have also plenty of it for developing new skills 😃

My occupation is a digital nomad (currently employed as a contractor by a Danish company), so I am comfortable with any location, as long as it's in, or close to, Europe. With a good planning in advance and for shorter trips (up to two weeks), I'll be able to take vacation and be 100% available as a crew. For longer trips, we'll need to talk and see if I can fit a few hours of laptop work with the sailing..

My availability throughout 2025 is:
- from 20th of April till 16th of May: only in Greece, due to two already booked sailings the week before and after
- from 1st of July till 30th of October: without a fixed location, but preferably, in the Northern seas 🌅

I'm looking forward to getting in contact with anyone, who's seeking to take a responsible and respectful crew-mate onboard. I'm happy to contribute, but I'm not willing to pay as a tourist. Having a good level of communication and a (overall) good feeling that we can get along and collaborate well, will be essential.

Note: if I tried to contact someone, but then didn't start a conversation, it's because I'm making my first steps with this platform and I underestimated the level of restrictions (I'm sorry!). Hopefully in the future, I will seriously consider upgrading my subscription, which will allow me messaging you.

A peaceful person, who often seeks to find the essence of all that's visible, sensible or imaginary (maybe also - a bit of a dreamer, haha 😅). I like to communicate and share view-points, discuss philosophical or social matters. Honesty is one of my top values and I can hardly get scared of being honest and open about anything that's going on.
As many of us are, I'm also in love with nature, with the night sky, with the wildlife, the mountains, the forests, the cliffs, the riffs and the vast seas and oceans... And often all I need is just to be there amid all that beauty and experience it unconditionally!
As a passionate traveller, I'm aways happy when I'm "on the road to the next adventure".. And last, but not least: laughter is vital for me

Last December (of 2024) I was invited on a short boat trip and then spent a few days on an 11m, monohull yacht - sailing in the Caribbean. It was an old, but charming boat.. and I loved it!

My primary motivation is to experience (and, ideally - learn) the art of sailing. I am very committed to participate in the whole process: to learn, to enjoy, to contribute and to share!
