Hi, I am a Captain Yacht Master Offshore RYA (specialized in sailboats, but can also do motor yachts) I also held a Spanish licence, Patron Portuario Profesional for many years. My wife(EU Resident)is a Deckhand/Cook/Hostess.
I owned a charter company for 7 years with a Bavaria 41 year 2003, offering sailing/whale&Dolphin watching and snorkeling trips, where i worked between 10 to 14 hours a day as a Captain/guide in various languages/engine maintainence mechanic/dry dock maintainance/office work meetings etc, and can do it all regarding running a sailing business.
In the past, before I became a sailor, I worked as chief of hotel entertainment, on stage at nights making and presenting shows, and in the day organizing Sporting events for the clients. I am also a professional sports presenter/host. CV is available.
My wife is from Cartagena de Indias, the Caribbean part of Colombia, where she worked for 3 years before we met, on a fleet of commercial Catamarans, and also a luxury Jongert ketch rigged sailing yacht working with tourism.
We own a Wauquiez Amphitrite 43f ketch 1980 which we have in the canary islands, we have refitted and restored everything ourselves, fixed osmosis and delamination on the hull, worked epoxy resin with fiber, completely changed & installed an old to a new engine, rigged the masts, and everything else that can be done on a boat.
We are currently seeking a job together as Captain & Deckhand/Cook/Hostess, on a privately owned vessel, or a comercial tourist boat anywhere on the east side of the Atlantic, Mediterranean sea, or the western side of the Atlantic, Caribbean, Bahamas, south or east USA, central America, Colombia Panama etc, or any other area where needed. We could either sail our own boat to the destination required to work at (if weather permits, depending on time of year), or we can go by plane and leave our boat in our home port.
