Hello Dear's,
I'm relatively new to sailing. I discovered it a few years ago with the help of a friend. Since then, I've been using my free time to attend practical courses and read as much as I can about sailing. In May 2024, I completed the RYA Day Skipper Course in Greece (6 days at sea), and I have two more courses scheduled for the end of September 2024: a Docking Course and a Miles-Building trip with professional instructors.
Like most entry-level sailors, I'm also exploring options to gain more experience by being hands-on aboard and spending time sailing and learning. I'm in good shape; I've been quite active in recreational sports throughout my life, including running, swimming, and fitness. I also enjoy winter sports like snowboarding. I like to eat healthy food whenever possible, usually prepared by me. I enjoy reading and learning new skills.
My professional career is not related to sailing. For almost 20 years, I've been working in the corporate world, dealing with logistics. I started as an admin and worked my way up to managerial positions.
Throughout my life, I've used my free time to be close to the sea, as it's the only place where I feel relaxed. I believe that if I can become proficient at sailing, it would be something I’d love to be a part of in the future. Maybe one day I’ll own my own boat and work with a chartering service. At the very least, I’d like to be comfortable renting a sailing boat and taking my three daughters on sailing explorations.
Ivan
