I'm based in San Francisco, originally from Maine, and I've been sailing since childhood. Available as skipper, first mate, or crew. I've owned and cruised my Hans Christian 38, Norseman 447, and Paul Luke Aluminum 49 Pilothouse Exploration Cutter. I've skippered both monohulls and catamarans.

I took several years off of work to go cruising with my wife and daughter. I've sailed to and from Hawaii multiple times on my own boats and on delivery, along the US West Coast from Canada to Mexico, parts of the eastern seaboard from Maine to New York, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean. My most recent passage was from the Galápagos to Mexico.

I'm 51 and mostly retired with a flexible schedule. My background in tech makes me handy with computers and electronics, and I can also handle diesel maintenance, outboard repairs, electrical troubleshooting, sail and canvas sewing, fiberglass work, and my share of the cooking. I'm open to fun, milk run sailing where we share expenses. I'm also available for deliveries and in some cases can deliver your boat in exchange for some casual cruising time with the boat post delivery, or if you need a long offshore or tough upwind delivery, reach out to me to discuss terms.
