Hi, my name is Jens, 55 years old, married, one daughter (24 years old). I live in Uckermark, northeast of Berlin, Germany. After working as a renewable energy engineer for 25 years (focus on solar energy), it was time for a change. I have been a lifeguard and operation manager in a small seaside resort for 4 years. I find it fulfilling to teach children to swim, look at the lake and be in contact with people. I have the luxury of being able to sail to work in my sailing dinghy - the farm community with currently 7 adults, where I have lived for over 30 years, is right on the other side of the lake. I am communicative, open, solution-oriented in dealing with conflicts and close to people. In addition to dinghy sailing, I've been on "big ships" at least a few times in the last few years, a week island hopping in Croatia (catamaran), once around Mallorca (monohull), a week on the Dutch coast (plate boat). So far I haven't been seasick. I'm looking forward to living together on board, to new experiences with people and nature. And to YOU.

I only work at the swimming pool in the summer, in the winter months I am self-employed and/or continue to expand our buildings. That's why I'm very flexible when it comes to sailing

A lifelong dream that has not yet been fulfilled is to sail from Europe across the Atlantic and back again in a sailing boat. I would like to tackle this in winter 2024/2025. Until then, I look forward to learning and gaining experience
