Looking to sail Oceania and SE Asia April-June☀️ I decided I didn't want to do the same thing for 20 years and call it a "life". So I sold my belongings and left my comfortable job to live a life I've thought about for years. But, I’m an interior designer, project manager, and freelance/copywriter by trade so I’m well organized, driven, handy, and autonomous, and love being on the water.
8 years ago I stepped foot on my first sailboat. I didn’t intend to fall in love with sailing as it was a scuba and marine biology course but I did. One of my favorite memories of the trip was helming the 60' catamaran surfing the huge waves from Saba to St. Kitts, spraying the boat just as the scuba instructor walked out of the saloon with a PB&J. During the trip, we visited 7 Caribbean islands, did scuba diving, and learned about marine biology. I’ve since been to 22 countries (3 continents) so I have no trouble navigating new areas or problem-solving.
Experience-wise, I've sailed in over 30 day regattas, delivered a Dehler 46 from Port Camargue to Greece, and cruised around the Ionian islands on a Jeanneau 54. I have spinnaker, foredeck, helm, and jib experience on many different monohulls and stilettos. I'm not a pro, yet, as I am working towards my captain's license. I am a hands-on learner & unafraid of jumping in and learning new skills. I love to meet new people/share stories and discovering new places (in a safe and responsible way). I'm looking to help sail - if I can find a job, great, but being on a boat is well enough for me. In exchange I can offer my (healthy) cooking services, (bad) dance moves, cleaning, fixing, social media and website knowledge, and errand running.
I enjoy learning new skills and staying active. I'm a writer, and I’m looking for the right crew that will inspire writing and will allow time for it in between daily tasks. I’m 3 yrs sober, a non smoker, and fully vaccinated. I’m a pretty chill and an easy going gal with a side of adventure
