Hey!

My name is Afonso, a 25-year-old from Portugal, I have sailed dinghies throughout my childhood (optimist, laser and 420), and been a sailing instructor at my local club of both kids in Optimist and adults in Raquero.

Recently, I have had my first experience of offshore sailing in a 40ft Catamaran with no engine, sailing from Colombia to Cuba, and my love for the sailing life as grown even more. I am looking forward to more learning opportunities aboard sail boats before captaining my own boat in a few years.

Together with some friends we own a 27ft Albin Express in Stavanger, Norway, that we sail in the fjord every week. I am the one skipping the boat and have introduced many friends to sailing in it :)
