With an abundance of adventures in my wake including a fair bit of sailing, I'm looking for another trip or two at sea. I have sailed the Salty Dawg Carribean Rally once on a 40 foot monohull. And my wife and I owned lived aboard a 40 catamaran for 3 years sailing the east coast and two seasons in the Bahamas. We sold that vessel in April of 2024 and moved back ashore. I completed ASA 101, 103, 104 and 114 aboard a 37 foot catamaran with Blue Water Sailing School in Ft. Lauderdale in November 2020. I'm fit and have a keen focus on remaining so. I prefer eating a vegetarian diet, but have found that I don't get particularly hungry before embracing a wider range of cuisine and I have no interest in imposing my dietary preferences on others. I'm an engineer with an advanced degree in alternative energy, which translates to a quick understanding of systems, diagnosis of problems and development of solutions. That has been tested many times during my boat ownership with great success. I have a fair bit of experience averting or at least minimizing catastrophe in uncomfortable situations. I've also owned and maintained several homes, many automobiles, numerous small watercraft, and a wide assortment of other machines and conveyances, so unfamiliar systems don't deter my desire to improve their performance. I have an abundance of travel experience and have lived overseas. I'm generally viewed as gregarious and friendly and can get along well with almost anyone with the likely exception of January 6 rioters. I enjoy meeting people and making new friends.
