I would love to do an Atlantic crossing soon, and I’ve just completed Celestial Navigation. I was a 20 year Air Force medic, with an additional 15 years of experience with outdoor First Aid as a National Ski Patroller. I have experience behind a sewing machine with a degree in fabrication while in Aircraft Maintenance. My sailing experience is on the Great Lakes, an inland sea. I’m also a PADI Master Diver with course time spent towards the Dive Master level… however I did not complete the course, by choice.

I hate to say it, but I’ve retired and want to be a qualified sailer and I need experience. I’m not too proud to work hard and I have skills to offer that others might not have. I was an Air Force Medic, 15 years as a ski patroller (winter emergency medic), an IT infrastructure installer/technician (boat electronics) and a part-time mechanic... These are all valuable skills on a sailboat, I’d think.
