I am looking to build sailing miles and experience sailing Lake/Coastal/Open Water journeys. Flexible with the schedule and locations, yet keen on safe passages with competent skippers from whom I can learn. I have completed the ASA 101/103/104 classes and currently in ASA 105. I have no health issues and am compatible to most situations. I am a retired mechanical engineer and handy with most systems.
I have logged 280 days on the open waters, with 18.5K NM in the Great Lakes, inland waterways, the US Atlantic from Maine to Key West, the Caribbean as far south as Grenada, and the Mediterranean from Spain to the Greek Isles.

I am a retired mechanical engineer looking to knock things off the 'bucket' list. While still young, adventures and experiences are sought. My children are doing their thing and I am a widower, making my schedule my own to decide. I have sailed various places on the Great Lakes, the Chesapeake, the Caribbean, in the big waters on both sides of the Atlantic and in the Mediterranean. I am looking to building many more sail miles. I am looking for short term crew opportunities from Point A to B, and in no particular hurry to get there. I am a US Citizen while also fluent in the German language. I have traveled to many of the US states and lived in Europe for several years, allowing my family and I to see/live many different cultures.
