Thanks for the interest in my profile, I hope I can have the opportunity to captain your vessel.
I hold a 200 ton master license with 100 ton sail and tow endorsement. I currently captain several boats full time with a 2 or 3 week on/off schedule so I'm looking to fill in some of the downtime with deliveries, as a relief captain or day work depending on location.
Willing to fly anywhere if compensated and could captain for 2-4 weeks depending on the timing. I'm relatively flexible & looking for paid gigs only.
Most recently spent the last 3+ years as captain of a 76 ft schooner in the winters and summers on 47 and 70 ft charter powerboats holding up to 130 people.
Also experience on a single screw tug, lots of twin screw time and more.
I have previous helm time on a 100 ft power yacht, everything from docking and operations to navigating Bahamas and Dominican Republic. Also delivered boats on entire US east coast as well as in French Polynesia.
Have also completed much solo sailing for thousands of miles, but really enjoy working and traveling with others.
Previously I worked as a marine mechanic and can work on diesel engines, outboards, rigging, electrical, plumbing and most boat systems.
I am easygoing and enjoy being around people and I have a positive attitude. That being said I know when a job needs to get done and will make sure that everything runs on schedule and is done properly and on time.
Plenty of references available should you be interested or need to see a resume / CV. I am reliable and keep my word, just ask my current and previous employers.
Look forward to hearing from you!
Cheers.
Evan
