Dear Shipmates
Introduction
I started sailing in 2015 in Southampton (UK).
After that, I did multiple days cruises in Trieste (Italy), Canary islands (Spain), Paxos and Antipaxos (Greece), Marmara Sea (Turkey), southern Aegean sea (Turkey and Greece), Levante coast (Spain). Sailing boats were Sun Fast 32, Bavaria 46, Oceanis 31, Oceanis 55, Lagoon 380, Tornado 31.
In 2022, I participated to the round Britain and Ireland (RB&I) Race, a 1,700 miles course around the British isles organised by the Royal Western Yacht Club of England. Just for the RB&I, I was sailing for qualifying cruises 300 miles in four days and then 450 miles in the race, from Lerwick (The Shetlands) to Blith and then from Blith to Great Yarmouth. The boat for the race was a Laurent Giles Vertue (27 feet), named Mea, built in Hong Kong in 1959. Mea means “Beauty and Grace” in Chinese :-)
In terms of courses and titles, in 2022 I attended the First Aid Course and Survival at Sea Course, whereas in February 2023 I have got the RYA Day Skipper.
