Ahoy,
My name is Rachele, I'm 29 years old and I'm from a small town in the province of Milan, Italy.
How can I describe me in a few words? Dynamic, patient, always smiling.
After studying Intercultural Communication and some experiences abroad, including a semester in Barcelona and an extravagant and wonderful year in China, I started to work in the world of haute couture, but right away I realized was not my place in the world, it was really far from me.
Fascinated by the sailing world, thanks to a holiday made a few months earlier, I decided to change my plans and I found a new and completely different job in a startup which sells holidays on sailing boats.
I had more free time, I actually started to learn about this world and I decided to start some sailing courses, just for fun. From there, in March 2019, I haven’t stopped yet.
I found in sailing my greatest passion, a lots of fun, many new friends and the opportunity to do what I like the most: travel. My secret wish at the moment? To sail around the world and make it a way of life.

Travel updates: I spent the last two years traveling and sailing Australia, it has been wonderful and I'm now back home in Italy working as a deckhand and hostess in a catamaran in the aeolian Islands for the summer season.
Looking for a new sailing adventure from October 2023 on, no fixed plan and open to sail everywhere.

I’ve been thinking about sailing around the world for some time: crossing the Atlantic, visiting remote destinations such as Patagonia or Polynesia but also destinations near home, crossing the Pacific and, above all, learning and experiencing what sailing really is.

I don't have a clear plan yet and I am open to consider different itineraries and experiences, I would love to embark on a sailboat and do my part as a deckhand or anything else is necessary.
I never give up and if there’s something I truly believe in, I do it with all my heart.
I would also like to practice and learn as much as possible about navigation, charting, anchorage and everything related to sailing so that I can, in a future, be a captain myself.
