Hello,

My name is Gianna and I am currently in Australia on a Covid visa. In November of 2019 I joined a trip, from Find A Crew, to complete a crossing from New Caledonia to New Zealand. It only took a week but I would love to get more experience and learn as much as I can.

I am a water baby and usually work on some kind of boat for my job, whether that’s as a whale watch/whaleshark/snorkel guide, host/cook, or diving.

I’ve worked on 65-foot double hull cats but didn't learn too much as we were running cruises in minimal wind, usually motor-sailing, close to shore.

I just got my coxswains here in Aus so I can learn as much as possible. I’m a quick learn and would love to get back out.

I have my bachelors degree in Animal Science with an emphasis in marine. I absolutely love the ocean and all of the animals inside of it. Whenever I travel I find myself either in or on the ocean.
I am a very confident swimmer. I have been a lifeguard for many years, played water polo at university, can free dive up to 27 meters, and love anything that requires being in the ocean.

I have not sailed very much but am very quick and eager to learn.

I would love to sail around the world one day but to do that I need to learn a lot more. I enjoy learning new things, traveling to new places, and meeting new people.

I am not new to boat work but am a beginner for sailing. So for me, I am ready to learn as much as anyone is willing to teach me.
