A little about me. I am 54 years old from Manchester,England.I have some experience on boats. A couple of liveaboards in the caribbean ( 3 months ) and the Greek Islands ( 2 months ) a month on a big cruising cat (lagoon 450) from Turkey to Sicily,a bit of time in the US and a lot of travel around the world.I lived in Thailand and Mexico for a while. Last sailing I did was in Colombia crewing on a Bavaria 46 for a few months,down to Panama, San Blas and back to Cartagena and a couple of months in Indonesia Sorong to Labuan Bajo, I have been back in Thailand for about a year and am now looking for any type of liveaboard experience anywhere. (Caribbean or Asia would be nice 😃 ). Ideally with a skipper who wouldn't mind teaching me and sharing their experiences and insights into sailing. I am trying to improve my skills and knowledge to a level where I would be comfortable sailing solo.
Comfortable watch keeping ( day and night ) helming, sail trimming, cleaning cooking. No problem with most day to day operations on board.
I am familiar with the basics of sailing and genuinely love the lifestyle and the freedom and adventure that goes with it. I have PADI open water certification and if time allows I will be doung my RYA day skipper,I am not a bad cook,got a few decent one pot recipes and don't mind mucking in with any galley duties.
I am reasonably fit, fairly smart , resourceful, independant and willing to have a go at anything.
I dont smoke, occaisionally drink, love sailing,sport,exercise,living well and dont take myself too seriously.I have no ties am financially independant and thanks to a bit of lucky investing am able to support myself whilst travelling around..I have no real time constraints and am just looking for like minded,laid back people to enjoy sailing with. I enjoy the odd beer at sundown with good company If it sounds like we might get along then drop me a line.

I am kind of retired now and usually spend 3 or 4 months a year working and the rest of the time travelling around. I am incredibley lucky to live like this and just want to continue as long as I can. ( or until the money runs out :(

Came to sailing later in life and just loved it. Love the sense of freedom and adventure, its great to just drop out of the rat race for 2 or 3 months and just sail away. Can't think of a better way to spend time.
