I have been working as a Galapagos National Park naturalist guide for 18 years. Working on board of cruise ships and charters of all sizes around the islands. I have some experience with attention to passengers on board and on land. It is why I can also work as hospitality crew.
My interest for the ocean and its wildlife has been growing. I am ready now to learn more about sailing and will contribute In all the duties on board, day and night watch keeping, cleaning, any maintenance work... I am really eager to learn more and will be very grateful for any teaching.
MY EXPERIENCE ON SAILING BOAT:
2020: On catamaran 40' Panama to Fatu iva (Marquises archipelago).
On monohull 42' Fatu iva to Hiva Oa. Hiva Oa to Fakarava (Tuamotus archipelago) Fakarava to Tahiti.
2023: On monohull 45' San Blas islands in Panama. Panama to Hiva Oa (Marquises archipelago), cruising the southern islands. Fatu Iva to Kauhei (Tuamotus), Kauhei to Fakarava, Fakarava to Tahiti.
2024: on monohull 50' US Virgin Islands to Cartagena (Colombia)
On monohull 45' Puerto Rico to Panama.
I am a very active and curious person, an independent, adventurous woman.
I can cover my own expenses and contribute to buy the food.
I love music and books. I can play guitar.
I am particularly good at cleaning and it really matters to me to live in a clean and organized environment.
I love the sea and all activities at sea, snorkeling being one of those I enjoy the most.
I am strongly commited with protection of ocean and nature.
I would like to be crew on a boat that will be respectful with the ocean.
When visiting a new place I like to walk and spend time with locals, avoiding touristic places.
If I had to define myself with one word I could say I am a SEEKER. Because I want to understand how things are working, from a simple fan to the laws of the universe. I consider the interaction with people on board of a boat being the best way for introspection and inner improvement.
I like to do everything myself at home: Paints, carpentry, pumps, plumbing , electricity, repairs and maintenance and will be happy to help at any project on board.
I ' ll be aware and do my best to adapt to the way you are living on board .
I' ll bring my good humour, my experience with wildlife and my enthusiasm.
I expect good communication from skipper, clear, respectful, true, honest and useful.
I use to make hammocks, the Mayan style, and love to do it.
I am not seeking romance.
I can share yoga, french and Spanish lessons and I will do all the necessary to build a nice companionship with whoever will be on board.
No problem if there are pets on board.
