I am a retired 65 year old man who lived aboard a 30 foot Hunter sailboat in Miami, Florida for twelve years. I have previously held a six pack United States Coast Guard license and I have done coastal cruising in Florida, sailed with friends in the Cayman Islands, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lawrence River, Lake Ontario, the Thousand Islands, the Adriatic Islands of Croatia, Australia, Vanuatu, the Bahamas, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, the canals and rivers of France, the East coast of the United States from Florida to Maine and back, as well as the Pacific Coast of Central America from Panama to Mexico. I have made six open water crossings, two from Miami to the Bahamas, one from Miami to Panama, one from Panama to Mexico, one from Colombia to Panama, and an Atlantic crossing from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Majorca, Spain.

I was a public school teacher for 23 years and have taught English as a second language, as well as world history and law. I was an attorney who practiced law in Miami for 15 years before becoming a teacher. I have played and coached soccer and I am a huge fan of the World Cup Soccer competition. I play the guitar, especially folk and classic rock songs. I am in good physical shape and enjoy cycling, hiking, snorkeling and scuba diving.

I love sailing and really enjoy the camaraderie associated with being the member of a crew. I would like to increase my knowledge of sailing by learning from the captains I crew for and gain more experience on the open seas. I am retired and I like to crew on sailboats in different locations around the world as part of my retirement.
