Hi,
my name is Marco, I'm 57 years old, in 2013 I attained an Italian nautical license over 12nm
Interest in sailing is something recent to me, nevertheless, I dedicate myself to it quite a lot, I would say almost all, of my spare time.
In 2024 I solo sailed Venice to Ancona and back with my small boat.
In 2023 I solo sailed Venice to Trieste and back with my small boat.
In the last 10 years, I spent about 7 months on the sea sailing about 6000nm
In 2022 December I bought an 18ft sailing boat (meteor), small but technical enough to challenge and teach a lot. I'm planning small trips in the north and central Adriatic for the 2023 summer
In 2019 I skippered a boat crewed by 5 people for a 2 weeks holiday around the Cyclades in Greece.
In 2018 I skippered a boat crewed by 5 people for a week's holiday around Croatian islands.
In 2016, in a crew of 3, we sailed from Rabat(Morocco) to Agadir(Morocco) to Las Palmas(Canary Islands).
In 2015 I took part in a course at Le Glenans school: two weeks cruising between Corse and Sardinia.
On a friend's boat, I did many Adriatic crossings back and forth, from north Italy - to Croatia.
With a friend's boat, we took part in a minor local championship where we ranked 2° of 8 boats of the same class, 8° of 40 overall.
In 2014, with some friends and a skipper, we transferred a boat from north Adriatic, Italy, to Kos Island, Greece.
In 2014, with some colleagues, a couple of Adriatic crossings from Italy to Croatia back and forth.
In 2012, with other colleagues, we rounded Elba Island in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
I took part in deep maintenance and repair works on a friend's boat. This allowed me to learn quite a lot, even laminating new fiberglass objects or repairing existing ones.
I'm focused on learning, curious, open-minded, helpful, and obviously with good manners and behavior.
