I love being at sea. It is where I am truly comfortable. I don't get seasick as a general rule. It has happened three or four times over the years and so I do have some idea how horrible it is and can empathize with people who are seasick. My land work is as a casual visual arts teacher which gives me flexibility. About 10 years ago I sailed over the top end of Australia, through the Kimberley's and down the east coast which was a voyage of many hundreds of nautical miles and of lasting memorable adventures along the way :) I was also part of a crew on a delivery voyage from France to the BVI in nov - dec 2018. I loved deep water ocean sailing . We crossed the Atlantic in 19 days:) and am keen to sail the pacific one day ! More recently ( jan 22) I was a crew member on a catamaran sailing in company from Brisbane to Beauty Point Tasmania which was a great trip where I again learnt heaps. The more I learn the less I know :) :) so hoping to be able to find opportunities to crew in short legs, longer voyages or day sailing to keep the adventurous seafaring side of me happy . Another Tasmanian voyage from Lakes Entrance to Tasmania ( 24) through the truly incredible Bass Strait Islands. Only possible with such a knowledgeable skipper and crew. We had a fantastic time and I am so lucky to occasionally jag these awesome adventures:) Mez
