I am a naval architect, boat-builder & sailor from Finland and currently looking for delivery trips and other shorter adventures mainly in Europe, but up for offers for more far away destination too.

I love being out at the sea and have worked as mate/deckhand/carpenter on several yachts/sailing ships between 60 and 150ft. and also on smaller motor vessels both in my native country of Finland and abroad over the last 10 years or so.
Besides the experience on the water, I hold degrees on traditional wooden boat-building and yacht design/naval architecture and have also worked on these professions for few years.
Currently I aiming to learn more about the astro-navigation (working towards my Yachtmaster Ocean) and boat engineering and prefer sailing yachts over the motor ones, as sailing is my passion and there's more beauty on moving by the wind rather than by engine. ;)
I also have my own boat (a 28ft wooden sloop) since about 2 years now and I've already been sailing with her quite a bit around Baltic Sea.

I am positive and hard-working guy with very calm nature and always aiming to keep the things shipshape and everybody on board in mind while out on the water. Over the years I have gained plenty of of knowledge on various on-board systems, wood-working with boats and general maintenance of yachts, so besides actual sailing, I am not afraid of getting my hands dirty either.

I have been close to the water since my childhood and always loved the sea and boating. Since about 10 years I have been busy on building up a solid, all-around experience on sailing, boat-building and most recently in naval architecture.

I am very calm and reliable person who gets along with people well and is not afraid of new challenges. I can work efficiently under a stress, enjoy working as a part of a strong team and always trying to keep up the positive attitude and bring my knowledge further. I like the jobs done well and efficiently, but with an attention to detail.

At the moment my time is pretty limited and hence I am looking for only short-term crew positions and preferably within Europe.
For unpaid positions, I am interested in joining trips in and around Mediterranean or in the Northern latitudes (Norway/Iceland/Greenland) and professionally now mainly looking for yacht deliveries and such.
