Having found crewing positions previously with 'Find a crew' over the years I still enjoy meeting new people & sailing with them to new & old destinations, so I am again actively seeking another position on a Sailing or Motor Yacht, on passage or cruising, Paid, Un-paid, Cost sharing or Delivery – Anywhere in the world - They all sound fine.
More specifically though, I would like to take part in an East to West Atlantic crossing on a yacht this year - ARC or independant (Crossed a number of times when in shipping but never on yacht).

I have been told: I'm young at heart, easy going with a sense of humor and fit in with most others and have a calm, safety comes first attitude on board. I don't smoke but enjoy a social beer when the times right.

My sailing is a main stay but my other interests include: Cooking (no deaths reported as yet): Flying (Microlight & Para-motor), Walking & world wide long distanced trekking, Art & Sculpture, Nature, Fishing, Reading, Traveling, Snooker & Hands on Charity work (extensive & varied in UK & Overseas).

Qualified as: Yacht-master (+ 2nd Mate Commercial Deep-sea Navigator a lifetime ago); I have been Skipper/Watch keeper & Crew on various large & small Power & Sail boats over many years with extensive Passage experience. I also have various other certificates & experience in Radio; Radar; 1st Aid; Diving (long time since last dive) & other 'off piste' subjects as well.

I have extensive Coastal & ocean miles (with an against wind passage of 2300 miles to N.Z.) and have Skippered & Crewed on Sail & Motor in: the UK, on the French, Portuguese & Spanish Coasts & in many parts of the Med. Also in Honduras, Belize, Panama, Australia, NZ & Pacific Islands + as Watch keeper on a 3 masted 130ft 'Square rigged Tall Ship' in the S. Pacific.
I also have experience with engines, electrics & boat maintenance turning my hand willingly to any jobs asked of me as I can take orders (Navy training I guess) & buckle down to anything given me (Cleaning out the blocked heads being a specialty -------------- NOT).

Outdoor orientated & sailing since a young age and having experience (with relevant qualifications), in all aspects of on board life, on many types of boats, ships & sailing yachts (large & small) as: Crew; Watch Keeper/Officer (Coastal & Ocean); Yacht-master Skipper; Etc I still feel that I have the adventurous personality to do more, so:

With time on my hands I am once again actively seeking another position as Skipper or Crew on any Delivery - Passage (especially 'Ocean' sailing - East to West ARC Etc) or just Cruising. Paid, Un-paid or Cost sharing – They all sound fine depending on the circumstances.

I believe I have experienced to be of use out there somewhere maybe as crew (you can never learn enough) or maybe as watchkeeper or backup skipper or ?.

So if any of the above suits, (and with my belief that there is only ever one skipper on a boat should I be crew) if you think I may fit in with your requirements/itinerary & feel I could add something to your yacht, boat, ship, delivery, cruise, trip, adventure, challenge or expedition, it would be great to talk as I am always looking for new challenges.
