My motivation and reasons to crew on a boat

share experiencevisit remote placesseek adventureearn moneygain experiencetravel

Every Spring and Fall, if available, I endeavor to undertake some deliveries in and out of the Caribbean, Med and US.
I enjoy the time offshore, meeting and sailing with different crews, and of course a touch of adventure.

I have consulted on several yacht purchases, assisting new owners throughout the process of finding and vetting a yacht that meets their needs and aided in their instruction on it's proper maintenance & operation.

Further, I have put together several yacht charter programs from scratch and can consult to this effect.

I have mechanical engineering CAD / drafting and design training & experience.
I have also worked within a shipyard as a machinist.
As a private yacht Captain I have utilized that background to good effect, especially when managing extensive refit of yachts, the most recent of which was at Rybovich shipyard in Florida.

Additionally, I have spent time in Wilderness Emergency Medicine / Search & Rescue training and Experience.

I am a certified & seasoned Captain, Watchkeeper & Navigator of many miles and 20yrs.
I possess a broad spectrum of mechanical knowledge and ability gleaned from my time in the industry.

My wife is an accomplished sailor in her own right as we have extensively cruised the Bahamas and Caribbean together aboard our yacht.
She is an experienced (~5,000nm) and capable watch stander, helmsman, and a fantastic chef.
