I am Athan, a medical Doctor (Radiologist working on-line), aircraft owner and pilot but also a yacht owner and sailor with many years of experience both in aviation and maritime experience, very handy and self sufficient. I am Greek-Australian, currently living in Gold Coast - Queensland, but I travel a lot worldwide as I can work from every corner of this planet just with my computer (I said I am self sufficient previously but ...I am internet dependant :) ...haha!). I am preparing for a long trip to set sails after a year or 2 (maximum). The plan is fueled by my dream. To circumnavigate the world. Strategically, methodically and with hard work I am preparing everything for a safe and pleasant journey of my life. The oceans, the passages, the exotic places in my mind and my dreams will be another reality very soon. My current sailboat Cavalier 32 yacht is an option as it is a high reputable blue water boat, but soon I will replace it with a bigger and more robust one for safety, luxury and comfort. I will regularly update my progress here, so my new friend will folow me up. To be honest this dream was as a solo sailing initially, but a right mate is a good option as well, that's why I placed this profile here.
