Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Looking for crew to sail a 2024 Seawind 1370 to and from Florida and the USVIs seasonally. My wife and I are on board and look forward to meeting and making friends. Typically have 3 crew plus myself as captain and my wife as the main cook, although we all chip in. I keep my boats meticulously and this is my third catamaran and first from Seawind and she is well equipped. We enjoy stopping over at one or more of the Islands on the way, such as Turks and Caicos or San Juan Puerto Rico. Prefer experienced crew who have undertaken ocean sailing with night watch. I typically setup with 3hr schedule, 4 people, crew and myself, and rotate halfway so everyone gets into a better shift. I expect that each crew member bring their own personal safety equipment, PLB and inflatable life vest, etc. Good news is there is no hot bedding but two of the crew will share one cabin and all three one head with shower. It is well equipped with navigation equipment, Starlink, nice galley and stowage. The 1370 is the newest model from Seawind and we have yet push her as she was splashed in Cape Canaveral 30th of January 2025. Sailing her so far has been a breeze, pun intended and have crossed the gulf stream with 20 kts NE winds and 8ft seas, not what we prefer but she handled it exceptionally well. We expect the crew to keep the catamaran clean with sweep up in the cabins and cleaning the head. On arrival at the destination port, we allow two nights on the cat so a crew member can organize land accommodations, flights back home or their next destination. We provide food and drinks although no alcohol is consumed during the voyage and left for celebrations at ports. Respecting each other's space and cooperation in boat handling plus pitching in whenever and wherever is expected. Fortunately, there is plenty of room on a cat compared to a monohull. Look forward to fair winds and following seas and enjoying new friendships.
