Dear Shipmates

Introduction

This fine old lady of the sea and i are on my second voyage to Japan, via Solomon's, PNG, Caroline's, Philippines...
I've had 20+ years experience cruising and this boat is steel and as strong as any yacht on the sea. She's comfortable and roomy but minimal luxuries, more for the adventurous types.
I am a non smoker but not opposed to the habit in others, on deck of course.
There's no timetable other than 2-3 years to arrival in Japan

This vessel is unique, a classic Dutch desig ned gaff rigged sloop built with 1/4" steel in a naval dockyard. Everywhere we go she draws attention, people seem to love the connection to the past. However the best navigation systems and near new marine diesel engine are fitted, so safety is not compromised. A great sea boat that's been completely refitted 5 years ago, with the best autopilot on the market so sailing on her is a walk in the park in any conditions. Personally i don't mind the weather but always happy to wait for the champagne sailing days.
It's definitely not luxury but safe and comfortable.
As for my character, have 2 degrees, science and humanities, and enjoy the art of conversation. An activist most of my life there's no pretence just the love of adventure and expanding consciousness through connections with kindred spirits. Definitely not a captain Blye, probably not spelt right but you know what i mean. I don't need slaves, just plesant company would be nice, am accustomed to doing everything myself as it is!
Happy to chat, will be in Sydney soon so feel free to come for a squizz without obligation.
Cheers Steve
