Hi there! I am an experienced sailor having completed 64 ocean voyages including a world circumnavigation. I am a New Zealander, but currently on the Thai peninsula after sailing from Tasmania up the East Coast of Australia to Darwin, Cocos Keeling and to Langkawi
My crew say I am a great cook and I do actually clean up afterwards! I enjoy simple but healthy and tasty foods. Enjoy an evening drink, but generally abstain during the day and never on ocean passages…unless it’s flat calm!
I am young at heart with a fun sense of humour. Would be nice to find likeminded people to crew, live and share the pleasures of cruising and living aboard while exploring our beautiful world. Fun easy going and inclusive skipper/mate.
Would like to do another world voyage and revisit the islands of the Indian Ocean which are comparatively unspoilt and not too busy with yachts.
I can sail the boat alone, but much prefer company and the rest that comes with the watch keeping system.
Ideally looking for a long term, easy going and adventurous soul or souls who want to be part of life aboard and exploring the planet with some long voyages envisaged. My vessel is an ocean greyhound and chews up the miles with ease. Well balanced and soft on the helm.
Currently in Langkawi on the Thai Peninsular. Looking to leave here late May for Rodrigues, Mauritius and perhaps Madagascar before returning to Hobart, Tasmania December this year…or carry on round South Africa and up the South Atlantic to Caribbean and Panama.
Update 15/4/25. I have crew for the Indian Ocean voyage.
