Hello, my name is Lorenz. I am a retired executive from the financial services sector. I spent the last 35 years running companies in a very competitive environment, and I am now enjoying enjoy quality sailing in and around the Med. I am single and am seeking experienced crew and/or skipper to join the boat for 2 - 4 months through Greece and Turkey before returning to Montenegro.

I am an avid outdoor enthusiast and have spent the past four decades skiing, climbing, mountaineering, and cycling, and I have now brought this passion to the sea. I envision island hopping through Greece with day sails of 15 - 25 NM, but also with the occasional need (or desire) for longer passages, including overnight. We will not sail every day and will take time to explore interesting places.

I consider myself to be a mature, reasonable and pragmatic person. I have been fortunate to work in several countries and have had the opportunity to visit 38 countries on six continents. I enjoy conversation across a wide variety of topics and have a keen desire to continue to expand my knowledge and experiences within new cultures.

I anticipate having friends onboard throughout the trip, no firms plans as of yet.

This boat is a 2017 Grand Soleil 46 LC, with a 3 cabin / 2 head layout. All scheduled maintenance has been performed, new performance sails have been installed, and she is fully equipped with all safety and navigational aids and comfortable accommodations. I just had canvas and cushions replaced, she looks brand new inside and out.

The plan is to spend a month crossing Greece, a month in Turkiye, and a month crossing back to ME.

I am looking for experienced crew who are confident double-handing and single-handing the boat. My preference is to find someone familiar with Greek and Turkish waters.

I am not asking for crew to contribute to the cost of operating the boat, but I do expect crew to contribute to cover their individual costs of food, beverages and supplies. Cooking skills are a definite positive.

I am not a heavy drinker but I do enjoy good wine and beer in the evenings and with dinner. I have no dietary restrictions and I enjoy all types of foods. I am a strict non-smoker and will not allow smoking on the boat.
