As a professional captain (findacrew.net/crew/342557) I deliver yachts and work for private owner, charter or commercial companies.
I am open to various crew to join but experience and diplomas will have to be adapted to the program envisaged and to the requirements of the regulations in force.
This is why I am interested to have contact with qualified, experienced and highly competent professionals, paid (all needed certificates up to date).
When possible I also welcome less experienced proactive crew members, as long as they wish to have a career at sea. The conditions are : usually unpaid and small contributions for food may be asked. You help, you learn.
Finally, for those who simply want to gain experience or take a vacation, who are attracted by a cruise or a crossing, who want tuition and sailing lessons, a decent contribution is usually required.
