Introduction
Hello,
I am new to this way of living but eager to learn and excited for new experiences. I last sailed a couple decades ago, and on a small Cape Dory my ex owned. I have spent time on boats but as a passenger. In my land life, I prefer to spend it next to, or on the water, having moved to Hatteras Island a couple.of years ago. I love to kiteboard, paddleboard, hike, explore! I'm poking around this site, looking for opportunities to be a useful.member of a crew while taking in new experiences and fulfilling my.own dream:)

My children are grown, and after traveling the USA in a van for a few years, I settled on an island in the Outer Banks. When I shared with my daughter recently my desire to travel and explore more, she responded I need a boat, not a van as I like to travel island to island. I just spent a few weeks in Sardegna, Italy and was blown away. My.daughyer is not wrong.
I have watched a few friends experience living on a boat with strangers, or near strangers,and love it. I do have a 28 year old female.friend who may also be Interested in joining occasionally, if it works out.
In the past few months I found an opportunity through a kiteboard forum to travel on a sailboat for a couple of months. After speaking with the Captain frequently, he narrowed it down to me and one gentleman. He ultately chose to offer him the opportunity, but he shared this site with me and piqued my interest!
