Hello, my name is David. I have been day dreaming about buying my own sailboat and setting sail on a new adventure for sometime. While I'm not in a position to get my own sailboat at the moment, I figured I could enjoy helping someone with theirs and also get some hands on experience sailing at the same time. I am really looking forward to meeting great people and share some amazing adventures. I am introverted, so it does take more out of me to be social all the time but I'm always open to new challenges. I am an Army Veteran, college educated, and a Pile Driver by trade. As a Pile Driver I have spent a lot of time working on the water; whether in tugs, barges, or on floating cranes. However, I would now like to enjoy more time in a recreational manner. I have a fixed amount of passive income that would allow me the freedom to travel some, although its not enough to roam the globe freely.

I have very little sailing experience and would love to gain a lot more. Ideally I will buy and captain my own sailboat one day. But until I'm ready and know what I'm looking for, I thought what better way to get experience than to help someone with their boat. I'd like to learn about all the different aspects, from maintenance to navigating and everything in between. I'm open to day trips, overnights, weekends, weeks at a time or perhaps something longer if it makes sense and is a good fit.
