I live in New Zealand. On the third of May 2025 I will be flying to Athens Greece and then to Lefkada where my yacht is wintering. After doing the preventative maintenance I am planning to launch near the 15 -20th of May 2025 and start cruising .
I am planning to spend the sailing season from May to end of October cruising the Ionian islands .
I will likely to say a few words regarding the type of sailing I like to do and I hope you will find it attractive too.
I have been sailing the Greek islands for the last eight years , I was planning for a circumnavigation but when you have found paradise you might as well spend time there and enjoy it.
The islands of the Ionian Sea are beautiful with green hills down to the water’s edge and a secession of lovely anchorages.
Last year’s sailing season I spent 150+ nights on the anchor, the yacht swings on the breeze making life on board very comfortable. You can swim anytime to cool off ,and you have privacy. You can’t do that in a marina.
My aim is to cruise in a relaxed safe manner using the sails whenever possible.
The next anchorage might be one hours sailing away or one day’s sailing away arriving there we might spend a day or two exploring and enjoying the beauty of the place.

I will do my best to make you stay on board respectful welcoming and pleasant, but please remember that the yacht is NOT a charter boat and I am not a charter captain ,
Be prepared to be involved with the sailing and the day to day running of the ship.
