Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Hello all! Ezra here.

I am 36 years old and from the United States though I haven't lived there in over 10 years. My sailing experience includes sailing across the Atlantic from Gibralta to US Virgin islands, from the Azores to Galicia Spain over 12 days on a 31 ft sailboat, sailing across the Bay of Biscay, a two month trip on a catamaran from Phuket to Bali, a 5 day two person crossing of the Sea of Cortez, 101-104 ASA sailing courses, and some days on the lake. I also bought and lived on my own boat in Maine for a summer. I am currently looking for more experience, always hoping to gain skills and learn from others to be a better sailor.

I work as a guide and photographer for expedition cruise ships in Antarctica and the Arctic and am therefore comfortable in all types of weather albeit I wasn't in a sailboat down in these areas. I am good with camera gear, editing, etc and bring a fair amount of naturalist knowledge and polar explorer history along with my own stories. Quick learner, reliable, and easy-going!

I am a hard worker and I know that I don't have much experience on a boat. I have three ASA courses under my belt(101, 103, 104). I am a quick learner and happy to do the dirty work and whatever else is necessary. I like travel and adventure, trying new foods, and sharing good experiences with good people. I am a PADI certified divemaster and a photographer with a camera and drone with editing experience. Just want to get out there, explore, and live life to the fullest!

My motivation and reasons to crew on a boat

I like traveling slow. I want to see the world around me and being on a boat is an incredible way to see different parts of the world and have an adventure. One day I hope to have my own boat to travel around the world on.
