Hi there

Luke and I are from sunny South Africa, but currently in Szczecin, Poland. We weren't planning on sailing this summer as we would usually have been home, but due to circumstances we are still in Poland so thought we would take advantage of the situation and see if we could go sailing for two to three weeks in April, July, September or October (taking travel restrictions in mind and every precaution) Happy to contribute to boat expenses and food, and very happy to get involved in all aspects of sailing and yacht life.

Our goal is to have our own yacht one day and we are always looking for possibilities to get us closer to that goal. We both have our Day Skipper's tickets and love being hands-on sailors - and always happy to learn from experienced skippers. We're both very practical and love getting our hands dirty, so happy to help with maintenance and learn more about the ins and outs of sailing. I did my DS in Gibraltar and have 1 season's experience as a Deck/Stew in Turkey for a wonderful family. Luke did his DS in Cape Town and loves the challenge of difficult sailing. We chartered a bareboat yacht in the Cyclades with family last May for 2 weeks and plan to charter in Turkey next year. As it is just us 2, we would like to join like-minded sailors for a week or two of sailing.

We both dive - I have PADI Advanced Open Water, Luke has PADI Rescue Diver + 5 years experience as a commercial diver. He is an amazing teacher so if you want someone to boost your diving confidence, he is the ideal buddy. Luke also kite-surfs and we both Sup and are very beginner surfers. We love cooking, especially creating dishes from fresh local ingredients but I also have a few indulgent ice cream and cocktails recipes under my sleeve.

We are happy to contribute towards board, food, fuel etc, and get hands-on with provisioning, cleaning, cooking, maintenance and of course sailing! Our goal is to have our own yacht, travelling and sailing the world - we know it's not always sunshine and roses so great to get real experience.

Luke is currently working on a dredging project in Szczecin and might have some time off in April, July, September or October (taking travel restrictions in mind and every precaution) I work for a horse safari company and am working remotely, so have a bit more flexibility.

Our 10-year plan is to buy our own yacht, so we are working towards it. We want to gain experience and mileage, visit remote places and find great dive sites. Also keen to get to know the charter industry or boat building industry as we are looking at possibly buying into charter, or builiding our own yacht, so love chatting to people that have experience and seeing different yachts.
