Update 5/8/25 :I spent the winter Feb-April on an Defever 49. I had a great captain. We traveled down the ICW along the FL coast line. Due to mechanical issues we stayed in a marine in Marathon on for 1.5 months. I had hoped for some open water time to gain experience, and knowledge. I still do not know how comfortable I will be in open water, at see not able to anchor for days, or night watch, as I’ve always been relatively close to shore and protected. I’m eager to know.
So far my ideal day is spending a few hours moving in the morning, then exploring the new area that day, and maybe the next. Then moving on.
I can swim. Due to fears I’m somewhat uncomfortable in the water. It comes from a lack of knowledge, and not knowing what I’m capable of. I would like to continue to grow in this area.
I’m looking for an adventurous captain, and crew that would rather go for a paddle, play cards, explore a beach at sunset verses having a rum. I do not drink. I do 420, although I can leave that on shore, it’s not essential. Im a tree hugger! I am generally not fond of early mornings I do enjoy sleep. If there is an adventure to be had, or an important task to be done, then early to rise, I will!
I am clean, organized, loyal, helpful, a team player, and honest. I like to eat healthy whole fresh food, I can adjust as needed based on availability. Open communication is essential, and not always easy for me. A safe space is essential.
Update 4/1/25 Two weeks on a Krogen 38 and loved every minute of the boating aspect of it.
I have a love for water. No sea legs, yet, except for I’m a seasoned paddle boarder. Army veteran. I received my registered nurse degree in 2020, and have 9 months long term care experience. I love caring for people. I am not a huge fan of the health care system, and have no desire to return to it.
I am a certified yoga instructor. I’ve been practicing since Dec 22.
I am eagerly learning, and living anything spiritual
