We all love the sea. That's why we are here. I don't love stubbing my toe on a cleat. I don't love watching a winch handle fall into the endless abyss or coming out of the cabin after an intense storm to find empty broken dinghy davits. For whatever reason the boating lifestyle has grown on me and I don't want to live any other way. I started sailing to honor a fallen friend. I am forever grateful for the way the wind blew and am excited to see where it takes me!

I love traveling, playing and listening to music, hiking, snorkeling, meeting new people and discovering the simple things in life. Being "portable" has somehow always made me feel at home. I work well with others and thrive in situations where there is a sense of community and camaraderie. I have a thirst for knowledge. The meaning of life is to find happiness. The more you can smile the better off you are!
I started working in the hospitality industry in the late 90's but didn't decide to make a career out of it until 2004. Through the development of the internet and many forms of mass communication, I started to realize that I could go anywhere that I wanted to and that the world was at my fingertips! After leaving Tybee Island, Georgia for Miami in the summer of 2010, I decided to use my restaurant background and get out on the water. I worked for Biscayne Lady Yacht Charters as the sous chef for a fleet of 15 boats catering for groups of 4-380 people for various events.
A few years later my childhood friend (also named Adam) died in an avalanche. Adam and his little brother had previously purchased a 1971 Columbia 45' monohull. We decided to round up a group of people to fix up the boat and take a memorial trip. We sailed from Mobile, Alabama to Central America. Due to the weather that winter and other factors, it took us five months! After parking the boat in Rio Dulce, Guatemala my travels took me further east in the Caribbean. I spent the winter of 2014–2015 working 7-10 day, 8 guest+ 2 crew member charters as the Chef/first mate/host/steward in the Windward islands of the Caribbean. I worked on a Lagoon 440, a Leopard 45 and a Leopard 46. After a year in the US Virgin Islands, I took off to work in the Greek isles. I was hired to be the chef/first mate on a 45 foot catamaran doing day charters around Mykonos. I was cooking a 7 course meal while preparing the boat for maneuvers (dropping anchor, raising and lowering sails, tacking, and preparing lines among other things.) I only left Europe because my 90 day visa free stay expired. I headed back to the Caribbean again after that summer and ended up in Puerto Rico. My time back in the Caribbean was abruptly cut short in September of 2017 due to Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
I ended up evacuating to the United States and spent a few years regrouping. After working various restaurant jobs in Utah, Washington and Hawaii I found myself back on the water in the winter of '19/'20 working for a wildlife expedition company as the sous chef on a 234 foot power boat in the Sea of Cortez. As we all know the world shut down in the spring of 2020 and it took me two years to sort things out. I finally rejoined the boat back in Mexico in 2022 and after finishing the season down there, I headed to Southeast Alaska where I have spent the past 2 summers. Finally getting back to the lifestyle that I love! As of March 2025, I am in Southern California looking for my next gig. I am open to many different types of jobs and adventures!
