I'm an experienced sailing yacht skipper, delivering sailing monohulls, catamarans and trimarans.
My background is, or was, in advanced manufacturing (mechanical engineering, automation), but now work in e-commerce within maritime, airline, travel and engineering industries. Every now and then I have some time to do yacht deliveries, and if commitments permit I try to complete at least one delivery per year.

I've sailed extensively along the Australian East Coast and the Great Barrier Reef, but would also be interested to do Atlantic or Mediterranean yacht deliveries (preferably sailing not motor) when travel restrictions ease.

I was married and have 4 amazing children, who have all left home.

Sailed, dived, and skippered in the Great Barrier reef extensively for 3 years in my early twenties. I prefer sailing over using an engine anytime, and aim to anchor or leave an anchorage without engine whenever possible and if safe.

I'm up for anything that is interesting and legal and enjoy being mentally and physically challenged. I don't smoke, don't take any prescribed or unprescribed drugs/medications, and only drink socially when on land. I will not join any yachts where there are intoxicated crew or even guests. I don't mind if someone has a beer or a glass of wine, as long as they are not in charge of the yacht or involved in any navigation.

I have experienced some bad seas and I'm ok to deal with it if necessary, but I prefer to avoid bad weather whenever possible.

2018 Mar: Mooloolaba to Ailrie Beach (500 nm) – delivered Fountaine Pajot Mahe 36 sailing yacht with a crew of 5.
2015 Jan: Vanuatu to New Zealand (1100 nm) – delivered a sailing yacht with Laura Dekker (Skipper) and her partner.
2010 Apr: Hamilton Island to Rosslyn Bay – delivered Riviera motor yacht with owner.
2009 Oct: Mooloolaba to Sydney (500 nm) – delivered Beneteau sailing yacht to Sydney to meet racing schedule.
2009 Apr: Mooloolaba to Hervey Bay – delivered Riviera motor yacht with owner through Sandy straights.
1988–91: East Coast of Australia – sailed private yacht for owner and his family as a friend and a skipper.
