Dear Shipmates
Introduction
I have periodically dreamed of sailing for most of my life, but only had a few, short trips on a couple boats of any significant size until September 2024 (I did learn how to sail Sunfish on Lake Michigan as a teen). Then I spent one week sailing on the Adriatic (began/ended in Split, Croatia) with 8 strangers: one an experienced skipper, 2 somewhat experienced crew and the rest of us novices. I enjoyed it even more than I had expected.
I worked the last 14 years in various data analytics, consulting, analytics training, and product management jobs and am currently on a career break as I think about what I want going forward.
In the meantime, I am hoping to meet fun people, explore the world, and learn how to sail. Maybe eventually to get my own boat, maybe not, we will see.
