I enjoy the yachting life, being on the water. I’m energetic with a positive attitude. Currently most interested to week-day or weekend sail in UK. Could also be available for up to 3 weeks at a time, any destination easy to drive, ferry or fly to from the UK.

I am finding my way to follow my dream of sailing throughout my retirement years, building on my sailing experiences & capabilities. I started using find-a-crew in summer 2023 & enjoy getting out on the water regularly.

On land I spend most of my time in England & France. I frequently visit family near Montreal, Canada. I have 2 independent adult children, one living in Zurich & the other in London. My home is in the south east of England (near Gatwick Airport) & from there I’ve enjoyed sailing the Solent, Scilly Isles, Channel Islands, up England’s east coast to Scotland, North Sea to Kiel Canal, Brittany & Normandy. I sailed on holiday in the Bahamas & Greece. I’d love to sail along the Mediterranean, Scandinavian & Baltic coasts. I will always enjoy sailing around England & northern or western France. Would be happy to explore new destinations. I’m young at heart, drama free, perceptive, self motivating & easy going.

My goal is to broaden my sailing experience & horizons. Using find-a-crew as a means of travelling too. Pleasure cruising is for me, being among likeminded sailing enthusiasts taking in all I can from others to better my skills.

I have crew & living on board experience as co-owned a 36ft Bavaria for 15 years (The Solent, first based at Chichester marina & then Hasler marina). All together, have sailed with family & friends for over 40 years. I’m intuitive, self motivated with a kind & positive spirit.
