I retired! I have been sailing for approximately 17 years. I love being in, on or around the water. I had a career spanning over 35 years working with the criminally insane (medical/psych), in addition to running a security company for 17 years, during the same timeframe. I completed the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers) and my first ocean crossing! I have had a variety of sailing experiences: chartering in the 32-46 foot range, 2018 BajaHaHa, Women's Sailing events, flotilla in the Sea of Cortez, BVI charter, coastal cruising, multi-day trips to Catalina Island, assisting in moving boats, day sails, beer can races, etc. I participated in the 2021 BajaHaHa, as first mate and afterwards helped the Captain take the boat to La Paz and further north to San Carlos, where I assisted with portions of the re-fit. In 2024, we took her down mainland Mexico. I have surrounded myself with AMAZING people that have shared their love of sailing and knowledge with me. More importantly, I have been blessed with friendships that have touched my soul, made me a better person and will last a lifetime. I believe every day on the water is an opportunity to learn something new. The day I go out and think I have nothing to learn, is the day I should call it quits.
