I have taken a boating safety course as well as an online US Auxiliary Coast Guard Navigation course. I have crewed and stood watch on a 47 ft Ketch from Abaco Island to Charleston SC., a 44 ft catamaran from Charleston to Virginia Beach, a week in the Chesapeake Bay, 2 weeks in Maine on a 49 ft privilege Cat. also at the helm of a Hanse 505 sailing Long Island Sound. I crewed on a 49 ft power yacht for 7 days, cruising Southern Fl., 3 plus weeks Nada Baja run. 2,000 nm of blue water boating from Portland,Or to Puerto Vallarta on a beautiful Selene 53. 2021 crewed 3 weeks on a 55 ft monohull, Hawaiian Islands, whale watching during March Madness! added another 2,000nm blue water, 30+winds 8-12ft swells.Crewed from Portland to Alaska stood watch, cooked, cleaned, from June to Aug, 2021. 1,600 nm. 2022 sailed BVI's, + overnight crossing Tortolla to Saint Martin + return. 2023-2025 crewed on 44 ft catamaran from north US to Fl, crossed to Bahamas, ABC’s to Mex, then on to Cuba and Panama. Stood watch, stew, and general boat maintenance exterior and interior including engine checks, oil change, bilge, thru hulls, etc.
I am free to sail the world. Laughing, smiling, sharing the adventures with crewmates. staying active by hiking, swimming, walking, kayaking, snorkeling or a work out here and there. Waking up with a smile, excited to be alive, going to bed with a smile of contentment. Most important to me is becoming a better sailor, making new friends, enjoying all things life brings. I'd much rather be crew and treated with respect, than find romance.

My plan is to meet a very experienced captain, who takes safety first, and then wants to sail slowly to new destinations. I love anchoring, hooking up to a mooring, and marinas. I also enjoy going into the village, meeting the locals, having a locally prepared dish at a funky restaurant. Sharing stories with others. Situations that I have handled, lightning strike, auto pilot failed, hand steered 4days, engines quit while motor sailing, ran out of gas approaching fuel dock, loose mooring ball, anchor failed to hold. Sudden squalls, water maker failed, ran out of water, generator blew, hit ground while anchored, lost the jib, bow sprit broke & screecher needed to come down during windy conditions, and ran out of coffee!

2022 thus far, sailed 16 weeks through the BVI's enjoying all of the islands, snorkeling, early morning swims, and eating great foods. Also Virgin Islands, and Caribbean. From Tortola a crossing to Saint Martin, St. Barth's, and back. From Tortola though the Virgin Islands and on to Culebra, then Puerto Rico.4 weeks in July, 2022 sailing from the Cheasapeak to New Port, Block Island, Cuttyhunk, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, and back to Cape Cod. August sailed 10 days,300 nm on Amel maramu coastal cruising in Costa Rica.Oct, 2022-Nov, 2022 delivered 54 ft m/v with other crew from Portland, Or. to San Diego, Ca. June,2023 I was crew aboard a Wauquiez Pilot Salon 58 for 3 weeks. Auto Pilot went out, hand steered for 3 days, stood watch and usual stew/crew duties. Trip was from Charleston, SC to New Port, RI out on ocean, no ICW. July, 2023 was paid crew on a 65 ft Motor yacht, 1,000 nm. Stew/crew, cooked, served guests, managed lines docking and mooring, cleaned interior and some exterior. Both ICW and open waters. 2023-2025 crewed on 44 ft catamaran fr US to Bahamas, ABC’s to Mex, to Cuba, to Panama.
