Aotearoa New Zealand is my home - along with America's Cup.

At 62, I have retired from University lecturing in sport management, & I am exploring the world - sometimes by sea. 2022 I sailed the Pacific Ocean in a 43' catamaran, 2023 I sailed from Panama to Tonga in a catamaran and monohull. In 2024 I sailed from Brazil to Panama, then flew to Europe & sailed Mata, Sicily & Greece. I am keen to sail the world's warmer waters, have adventures, meet people & create memories. In Aotearoa New Zealand we are very practical & I have what is called a 'number 8 fence wire mentality', meaning we think outside of the square. I follow summer around the world.

Work experience - businesswoman, business owner, farmer, international tourism, researcher, sales/marketing, renovations & university lecturer.

I have sailing experience—I sailed for 15 years, owned two yachts, raced, & blue-watered sailed. I prefer cruising, and I love the warmth, fishing, and swimming. I used to dive, and I am keen to start diving again. I love snorkelling. I have blue-watered—in a violent storm across the Pacific, my stomach is pretty strong, and I can cook in 55-70 knot winds.

Personality - young at heart, kind, great grin, calm, respectful, loves to laugh, easy-going, communicative, avoids drama & gets on well with a wide variety of people. I am patient, have a win:win approach, upfront, honest, & enthusiastic. I enjoy cooking. I work well with others & enjoy working as part of a team. I am hospitable, joyful, & strongly believe in integrity. I am comfortable in jandals, sailing shoes, or heels. I enjoy a challenge.

I want a boat & crew who are kind, team-oriented, safe, fun, & respectful, with clear, & concise communicators. People who can see the bigger picture. Resolve conflict constructively. Not sexist or racist. Proactive. Preferably great conversation & I enjoy cards & board games. I AM NOT INTERESTED in: grumpy, manipulative, or abusive crew.
