Hi, Looking for enthusiastic crew who enjoy sailing for a fast cruise around the med. The westwind has been described as a very solid,heavy displacement,long keeled cruiser designed for the cruising yachtsman,offering comfortable accommodation,supremely seaworthy and easily handled under sail and power, I have the boat well updated and fitted with all required safety equipment including epirb and life raft .There are new rigging and sails (with fully battened main), recent new engine, new autohelm, navtex, weatherman,radar etc together with a monitor windvane steering.I want this voyage to be fun and safe.A small contrbution towards costs and your travelling expenses to and from the yacht is required.
This will not be a day sail experience. We will push on as much as possible. You will be expected to stand your watch, share in the daily chores and take your turn at cooking. The boat has both electronic and paper charts for this passage, you can assist in the navigation and hopfully develop your sailing skills . This is an excellent opportunity to build your sea miles and discover some of the most beautiful areas of the Med.
