Hi Everyone:
I may need crew to sail from Tahiti, The Cooks, Nuie, Tonga and onward to New Zealand. I like to sail with willing, open minded, practical and considerate people with a sense of humour! The boat is a well found ketch, solid and well equipped and I'm a prudent skipper. On a personal note, I love to sail, swim, read, play guitar, surf, meet the locals, learn and teach. Its a privelage to be alive and exploring this cruel crazy, wonderful world.
I'll be off the air for the next 3 or so weeks on passage from Galapagos to Marquesas but will check in then. Cheers

The boat is a Herreshoff Mobjack, built of NZ Kauri with love by John and Anna Simpson and I'm honoured to be her guardian/owner. We've sailed thus far from NZ to Tonga, Fiji, New Caledonia, Queensland, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and Thailand. More recently to SriLanka, Maldives, Oman, Yemen, Eritrea, Egypt. Rhodos,Turkey, Greece, Gibraltar, Canaries, Caribbean and now back in the beautiful Pacific.
I seek above all willingness. The ability to notice what needs to be done and action to make it so.
Willingness to work (and play) as part of a (small) team. A yacht is a particularly unique environment within which to form relationships and there's an intensity to many aspects of cruising.....but luckily! there are also many times when it's unbelievably laidback. At times it's necessary to put ones own personal issues aside so as to get the job done. But from time to time its also necessary to express what one feels (appropriately of course). I believe an offshore yacht is a self contained community that must function co-operatively together...... It can be challenging sometimes and yet sublime at others.
